Robin Alan McCone is a Board Member and Partner at WTS Ghana. He is an accomplished international tax lawyer with over two decades of experience advising multinational clients across Europe, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Africa.

He specialises in international tax policy, tax controversy, regulatory compliance, tax structuring for mergers and acquisitions, and cross-border investment advisory. His expertise spans sectors including energy, finance, manufacturing, telecommunications, and consumer industries.

Robin was previously the Tax Leader for Consumer Industries at Ernst & Young Ghana, where he led market-wide tax strategies and audit defenses for multinational clients. Before that, he served as Tax & Legal Services Leader for Georgia and Armenia at PwC and as Director of PwC’s CEE Tax Desk in the US, supporting investments in over 27 countries in Central and Eastern Europe, the CIS, and Central Asia. He also held the position of Director of International Tax Services at PwC Hungary, leading tax structuring efforts for MNCs and advising on U.S. inbound/outbound transactions.

He has held board positions with both the UK-Ghana Chamber of Commerce and the American Chamber of Commerce in Georgia, contributing to trade, investment policy, and legal sector development initiatives.

Robin is widely regarded for his thought leadership on tax reforms and fiscal governance in Africa. He has contributed to international publications, participated in high-level policy forums, and served as a speaker on global tax systems, compliance, and sustainable business practices.

He is deeply committed to talent development and mentorship, playing a pivotal role in nurturing the next generation of tax professionals across the regions where he has worked.
